Over the past several years the basic corner stones of the Anglican Church have come under attack through attempts to re-define our faith. Those who are more interested in serving the social conscience than the Lord are rejecting the Thirty-Nine Articles of Faith, the authority of scripture, and the very traditions and beliefs generations of Anglicans have held dear.
These changes we have been fostered by the growth of liberal theologies that have gripped the western church. The general erosion of Anglican-Christian beliefs has thrived in an atmosphere of ignorance and complacency. Revisionist interpretations of scripture and the increasing rejection of biblically based teaching are taking Anglicanism away from the principles on which it was originally founded. Ultimately we may end up turning away from God altogether.
We wish to address these changes through information and education. True Anglican is not affiliated with any particular Church, but is intended to speak to the problems that are troubling Anglicans throughout the World. The North American churches (the USA and Canada) that are now out of Communion with the rest of the worldwide Anglican Church will receive a particular focus.
It is most important that Anglicans everywhere appreciate the basic elements of the Anglican faith, and in addition possess knowledge of what is happening in those parts of the world where attempts are being made to force what may be termed as a “Liberalist” view upon the Anglican Church.
